NVIDIA marks 10 millionth shipment

NVIDIA Corp. has shipped over 10 million 3D graphics processors into the PC market.

In fact, NVIDIA’s 128-bit architecture enjoys a 44 percent share of the “performance” graphics market, according to Jon Peddie, president of market research firm Jon Peddie Associates.

NVIDIA has surpassed the 1 million-unit mark for its RIVA TNT2 chip, which started shipping in April.

NVIDIA customers include most of the PC industry’s leading computer manufacturers, including: Compaq, CompUSA, Dell Computer, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Micron and NEC. NVIDIA’s 3D processors also drive graphics accelerators from leading add-in card manufacturers, including: A-Open, Asustek, Canopus, Creative Technology, Diamond Multimedia, ELSA, Gainward, Gigabyte, Guillemot, Hercules, Leadtek, Mirostar, Prolink and Yuan Yuan.
