Dell Computer says it will offer free, unlimited Internet access in Europe.
The company outlined the free access plans for DellNet, which went live Tuesday in the United Kingdom, and will soon follow in France and Germany. The company also plans on rolling out service in other European countries later this year.

Working with British Telecom, the DellNet service also is tapping Excite as a partner to provide customizable start pages with news and information channels. Dell says there will be no registration, set-up or monthly connection fees. Consumers will be responsible for the cost of the local phone call.
