IBM enters mini-notebook market

IBM is planning to introduce a mini-notebook next week as the latest edition in the ThinkPad family of notebook PCs.

The 2.9-pound new notebook will include a 95 percent full-sized keyboard, an SVGA display, and various on-board ports. It will also come loaded with either the Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0 operating system.

IBM is targeting the new notebook towards enterprise customers.
