Hewlett-Packard has introduced three new PCs to its Pavilion line: All three include a new one-touch multimedia keyboard, and one features a substantially modified design.
HP hopes customers will particularly like the Pavilion 8570c, which incorporates a smoke-colored translucent panel in the front of the tower, as well as a built-in CD-RW drive. The $1499 computer is powered by a 450MHz Pentium III and also includes 96MB of SDRAM, a 19GB Ultra DMA hard drive, a 32x CD-ROM drive, a 10/100 baseT networking card, and a V.90 56K modem.
For $899, customers can buy a Pavilion 4550z PC, which includes a 466MHz Celeron, 64MB of SDRAM, a 10GB Ultra DMA hard drive, a 32x CD-ROM, a 10/100 baseT networking card, a Zip 100 drive, and a V.90 56K modem.
Finally, the Pavilion 4540 PC incorporates a 433MHz Celeron, 64MB of SDRAM, an 8GB Ultra DMA hard drive, a 32x CD-ROM drive, and a V.90 56K modem. The 4540 is expected to sell for $749.
