Zapex Technologies has upgraded its video/audio encoders for the worldwide market.
The company says the latest version of its ZP-200/300 MPEG-2 video/Dolby digital and PCM audio encoders supports not only NTSC but the PAL video standard as well, enabling production of professional quality DVD-video titles for any region in the world.
Other high-end features include off-line transcoding with the ZP-Controller software, advanced VTR control features with the company’s ZP-Decker software, enhanced encoding quality for VBR and animation content, I-frame insertion for DVD authoring, and support for the 16:9 aspect ratio.
The ZP-200/300’s PAL support, which produces the same quality even at low bit-rates, will be demonstrated at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam Sept. 10 to 14.
Zapex Technologies will begin shipping the ZP-200/300 audio/video encoders the first week in August. Additional product information can be found at www.zapex.com.
