Intel has introduced its latest 3 Volt StrataFlash memory with triple the read performance of the previous version.
Using advanced 0.25-micron lithography, Intel’s memory enables both code execution and data storage on a single high-density 128 Mb chip. Its new page mode feature allows for up to 44-nanosecond effective read access to boost feature sets and improve data access times.
The device is designed for a broad range of uses, including smart phones, PC companions, high-end set top boxes and other Internet-connected applications.
High volume availability of the 128 Mb 3 Volt Intel StrataFlash will begin in September, at a price of $29.90 each in 1,000-unit quantities.
