Microsoft will miss its target date for shipping its latest Windows 2000 beta.
Known as Release Candidate Two, the code was promised to reviewers by Labor Day.
The beta now won’t ship until later this month, the company has acknowledged, saying the decision to hold off was based on feedback from beta testers.
Some testers say the delay may be attributed to Microsoft adding support for video cards, drivers, and other capabilities.
The company still expects the final version of Windows 2000 to ship before year’s end.
