THQ Inc. is revving up its marketing department for the release of its latest PlayStation title.
Developed by Funcom, Championship Motocross Featuring Ricky Carmichael offers players realistic visual effects like flying dirt, exhaust smoke and real-time track and biker lighting, as they maneuver through twelve unique tracks from around the world.
THQ is planning a multi-million dollar ad campaign to coincide with the game’s release September 13. The Calabasas, Calif.-based company’s marketing efforts include sponsorship of the world’s richest motorcycle race, the THQ US Open, and the AMA Motocross Nationals, where Ricky Carmichael recently clinched his third consecutive championship title.
