Connectix Corp. has released version 3.0 of its Virtual PC software, which allows users to run the latest Windows programs on a desktop or portable Macintosh.
Virtual PC users also can access PC networks, and share files between Mac and Windows environments. The Virtual PC 3.0 product line includes Windows 98, Windows 95 and PC DOS versions. An upgrade version is also available for owners of previous releases.
The 3.0 upgrades went on sale Sept. 17 for $45. The $179 Windows 98 version were due to be offered starting on Sept. 20, through the Connectix “e-Store” at www.connectix.com.
