UltraLite notebook weighs in with 366MHz PII

Sharp Electronics has introduced a three-pound PC that packs a 366MHz Pentium II, 64MB of SDRAM and 8GB of hard drive space.

The one-inch-thick Actius PC-A280 UltraLite Notebook also contains a new anti-glare/anti-reflection technology that increases the clarity and brightness of its 11.3″ SVGA active matrix TFT screen.

The A280 is equipped with built-in 10Base-T/100Base-TX LAN connectivity and a dual mode ITU V.90/K56Flex modem.

The new Actius notebook comes with two built-in USB ports, a VGA external monitor port, a Type II PC card slot and a Fast IrDA infrared port.

Availability will start in early October, with an estimated retail price of $2,499.
