Virus vigilantes brace for Y2K attacks

Trend Micro will launch a new Y2K-related product designed to protect against computer intruders that may be poised to strike at the end of this year.

Trend Micro is expecting a rash of attacks from malicious code writers aiming to wreak havoc on computer systems during the Y2K transition.

The company’s Interscan 2000 is designed to “defend against viruses, malicious codes, hoaxes and other Y2K content security threats during the Millennium crunch.”
