Via to release Celeron clone in early `00

Via Technologies will open a new chapter in its feud with Intel when it releases its first microprocessor for low-cost PCs at the end of January.

Code-named Joshua, the Via processor initially will run at clock speeds of 433MHz, 466MHz and 500MHz and will be compatible with boards made for Intel’s Celeron processor, making it the first Celeron clone.
