Dell contracts `FunLove' virus

Dell Computer says operations at its factory in Limerick, Ireland are back to normal after the so-called `FunLove’ virus forced a two-day shutdown.

The virus was discovered in the system used to load software into its desktop and laptop computers. The company says it recalled 12,000 units but found no viruses in any of the computers.

The FunLove virus infects both desktop and server computers running the Windows 95 and 98 and the Windows NT operating systems and uses a new strategy to attack the Windows NT5 security system.
