E-Stamp lets you print your own ticket

Consumers can print tickets to movies, concerts and other events on their personal computers with new technology developed by E-Stamp.

The San Mateo, Calif.-based company’s ticket system will work much like its postage platform that lets customers purchase postage online and then print it out at home.

Unlike rival Ticketmaster.com, which has signed exclusive agreements with entertainment venues to sell their tickets, E-Stamp plans to license the technology to other companies such as movie theaters and smaller venues that sell their own tickets.
