Shockwave goes 3D

Macromedia plans to incorporate Intel’s 3-D graphics technology in its popular Shockwave Player, the companies said.

Shockwave Player displays Web content, such as multi-user games, interactive product simulations and online entertainment.

The 3-D feature, expected to be in place by next year, will be automatically updated when a user runs the player from a Web site.
