Hybris worm traced to Brazil

Given Microsoft Corp.’s willingness to risk being broken up by the US Justice Department over the bundling of Internet Explorer with Windows, recent moves within the company to push the browser aside are surprising. Reportedly, forces at Microsoft favor the more “user-friendly” MSN Explorer, while others prefer the “knowledge worker”-type interface Microsoft is putting into its Netdocs product. According to a CNet writer, it is not yet clear which browser will be part of the “Whistler” release or even if Microsoft will release a stand-alone beta of IE 6.0.
