MS reveals post-Java strategy

A ZDNet writer says that Hewlett-Packard will put Advanced Micro Devices’ new mobile Athlon Palomino into its notebook PCs, to be released in March. If true, the entry to the mobile market is a breakthrough for AMD as the chip would be used in OmniBook notebooks for business users as well as Pavilion notebooks for consumers. The same writer reports that Compaq Computer will also likely use Athlons in a notebook line.
