A Singapore company is reportedly using Ericsson’s Nanocube, developed at the telecommunication company’s Singapore lab, to build a product that will put wireless and Internet services into cars. GoMobile’s car battery powered device is a base station described as half the size of a shoebox that fits into a trunk and delivers Web-based music, e-mail, navigation assistance and phone service. A company spokesman says that DaimlerChrysler has assisted with the prototype, due in the next few weeks, while a commercial version of the product is expected in three months.
