The First Smartphone With Night Vision, The Danish Lumigon T3

Danish company Lumigon has launched the world’s first smartphone with a ‘Night Vision’ camera and has named it as the Lumigon T3. It is available in two editions and later three more editions – Black, White Diamond and White Gold, will be unveiled in coming days.

Specifications

  • Marine-grade 316 stainless steel chassis and damage resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4
  • 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 720p display
  • Android 6.0
  • MediaTek Helio X10 2.2 GHz 64-bit octa core CPU
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 128GB of internal memory
  • 13MP rear camera with dual tone flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus)
  • 5MP front camera
  • 4MP night vision camera with dual IR flash

Lumigon has revealed that the T3 has been crafted from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and comes with a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. The phone is also also water and dust resistant but what really sets it apart is the fact that it has dual cameras with night vision, making it the first smartphone to bring night vision technology with it.

Statement from Lumigon read

The T3 is the first smartphone in the world to have a 2K HD Night Vision camera that can capture photos and videos even in total darkness.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 4-megapixel night vision camera with dual infrared flash lights on the back, which help the phone capture images in complete darkness.

For normal photography, the phone has a separate 13-megapixel shooter with phase detection autofocus and dual tone flash on the back. It also comes packing a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front with Single Flash light.

Barring the display, T3 brings to the table an offering with descent under-the-hood specs, and even adds a shiny night vision camera to the mix, but if you’re thinking of picking up one of these devices just know it won’t come cheap.

The Lumigon T3’s basic model starts at $925 while the Black Gold edition is priced at a cool $1200.
