A-Data leads Taiwan module makers into DDR500 era

Taiwan’s A-Data Technology announced the launch of its PC4000 DDR500 memory modules, featuring 256MB and 512MB capacities. DDR500 is not an official JEDEC standard but simply overclocked DDR400 SDRAM. The theoretical data transfer bandwidth between the CPU and memory in a dual-channel enabled computer system with two DDR500 modules is 8GB/s.
