Losing aerospace giants protest NASA's ISS resupply contracts, on hold
Washington (DC) - The Register reported on Wednesday that NASA's recent contract awards to SpaceX and Orbital Sciences Corporation are being put on hold by aerospace giants who lost the bid.
The deals, totaling $3.5 billion, are now effectively on hold until the protest is sorted about by the Government Accounting Office (GAO).
SpaceX was founded by PayPal founder and Tesla guru, Elon Musk, who was voted by TG Daily staff one of the 10 most influential people in technology in 2008. His company's new Falcon 9 rocket is of concern to the losing aerospace giants who have doubts about its reliability.
