NAND flash market faces historic downturn in 2008 and 2009, says iSuppli

  • Once one of the fastest-growing segments of the global semiconductor industry, the NAND flash memory market has been stricken by weakening consumer spending, causing revenues to decline in both 2008 and 2009, according to iSuppli. iSuppli's revised forecast predicts that worldwide NAND flash memory revenues will fall by 14% to the $12 billion level in 2008, down from US$13.9 billion in 2007.
