South Wales – A South Wales man was electrocuted while trying to steal an electrified line. 43-year-old Kirk John Thompson and his two buddies broke into an abandoned steel factory in Pontypool, South Wales and began cutting into a plastic sheathed cable with his bolt cutters. Unfortunately for him, the cable was still connected the power grid and he was instantly killed as his cutters pierced the protective plastic sheath.
Thompson’s compatriots fled the scene, but were arrested by police afterwards. Police say Thompson had amphetamines in his system.
