Hubble telescope completes 100,000 orbits

  • The Hubble space telescope's 100,000th orbit Monday was marked by U.S. astronomers who took a picture of a "dazzling" region of the universe. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists aimed Hubble, now in its 18th year of exploration, at the Tarantula nebula, located about 170,000 light years from Earth.
