New York (NY) – A new survey shows that one in three US and UK residents have regularly copied DVDs in the past six months. Males between the ages of 18 and 24-year-old were most likely to copy discs and United States residents surveyed said they copied an average of 7 new releases and 6 older titles while UK residents were a bit more prolific and copied 13 new titles and 9 older ones.
Most people said they would not have copied the DVDs if copying technology wasn’t available to them. Darn that Ahead Nero and writable DVD drive!
The survey was done by Futuresource Consulting and funded by anti-piracy vendor Macrovision.
