Frankfurt (Germany) – 3D or prototyping printers have so far made items in only one material, but Objet Geometries has developed a new printer that can “print” three-dimensional items with multiple materials. The company will show off the printer at the EuroMold 2007 convention in Frankfurt Germany this week.
The new Connex500 will use multiple jets to lay down different materials into the same mold. Objet’s previous printers like the Eden250 we saw at Siggraph 2007 only made items in a single material.
