DisplaySearch lowers LCD TV shipment forecast for 2007

  • DisplaySearch recently lowered its LCD TV panel demand forecast for 2007 to 78.2 million units, down 3.8% from 81.2 million units, as demand for 40" and larger TVs remain strong but demand for 26" and smaller panels is weakening, according to a recent report from JP Morgan. The updated panel forecast is in line with iSuppli's most recent forecast for large-size LCD TV panel shipments in 2007, which was increased to 77.5 million panels up from 75.6 million units.
