ARM CEO outlines future of mobile computing

  • ARM CEO Warren East pointed out four major requirements for mobile computing for the future: always connected, high-performance low-power (HPLP), multimedia applications, and excellent Internet browsing experience.East, giving a presentation titled "Future of Connected Mobile Computing" at the Computex 2007 CE Summit on June 6, said a new mobile computer market is arising from PCs and handsets, with notebooks, ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs) and smart phones all incorporating more and more functions.
