Atlaspost, a Taiwan-based social web platform featuring a mashup of blogs, photos and maps, will set up its first overseas office in Silicon Valley this year as the first step to tap the international market, according to company founder Jerry Kuo. China may become Atlaspost's second overseas market, but the government's strict control on speech and map use pose problems for business operations there, Kuo indicated.
