Got a couple of dings and scratches in your car? Paint chipping away a bit? These would never be problem again if a very high-concept Spanish designer had his say.
Daniel Garcia has created a concept for a new luxury Audi that uses nanotechnology to enable the car to literally repair itself.
As profiled on the blog TheDesignBlog.org, The Audi A9 comes equipped with an "electronic painting" system that would sweep over the entire body of the car and make it look like new.
Owners could even change the entire color of the car on the fly, by just pushing one button. Imagine the rainbows streaming by on the highway if such a thing actually made it to the market.
Under the hood, there's an internal combustion engine along with four electric motors. The sleek form factor of the car is inspired by Valentian buildings designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.
Well, if anyone were to pick up such a concept, it would be Audi. The company's German slogan translates to "Advancement through Technology."
