Waterloo (ON) - Research in Motion (RIM) has cut the ribbon on its newest Blackberry phone, the Curve 8300.  RIM says it is the smallest and lightest Qwerty phone to be released under the Blackberry name. The 8300, which sports a unique curved design, has a thickness of just 0.6 inches and tips the scales at 3.9 ounces.  It sports a backlit screen with a resolution of 320x240.  All the Blackberry staples are here, including the trackball, pre-installed media player, and Bluetooth.
