Microsoft weighs in on Google Nexus
Ars Technica has an interesting take on the Google Nexus - Microsoft apparently thinks that offering a phone will dent the Android push.
Isn't that charitable? Not that Microsoft has any kind of ax to grind, of course. Its own mobile initiative has hardly been a runaway success despite Microsoft pouring millions into the project.
The Microsoft notion is, according to Ars, that Google will end up competing with its partners by pushing the Nexus. That's not impossible.
But then Microsoft is supposed to be introducing its own mobile phone too.
We suspect that Microsoft is upset by several things - not least the fact that HTC was one of its first smartphone partners. Another, British company, was supposed to be its very first smartphone partner, but it ended up suing Microsoft and winning.
