Apple updates Remote application to handle Genius
Apple’s application, Remote, has been updated. Basically the application is capable of turning your iPod Touch, or your iPhone into a fully featured remote control. It can control iTunes and the Apple TV over a Wi-Fi network, which means that you can run it on any computer or notebook with iTunes, not just Macs that have infrared receivers.
The newly updated software supports Apple’s 2.1 update for the iPod, which added the Genius playlist creator. Remote now enables you to generate Genius playlists inside iTunes. You can utilize the “Party Shuffle” feature, meaning that you can DJ from your iPod cueing the next song while you’re listening to something else.
The application has also undergone an interface facelift. You can now choose which speakers you want to use directly from the front page, rather than moving to a different page.
