Army offers $10,000 reward for stolen laptops
Wheeler Army Airfield (Hawaii) – Dozens of military laptops and monitors were stolen from Wheeler Army Airfield and now the Army is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the thieves. All of the equipment was still in factory-sealed boxes and were taken last October, curiously the Army is only now talking about the theft.
Army investigators say the computer equipment was stored in a warehouse that was only protected by a chainlink fence. The thieves cut throw the fence and then through a corrugated metal wall of the warehouse.
In all, the Army says the equipment was worth $118,000.
