AMD releases last non-quad-GPU driver package
AMD today released version 8.2 of its Catalyst graphics driver. The software leads up to the major 8.3 release in March, and includes minor patches for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, World of Warcraft, Doom 3 and TianXia2.
AMD also claims that the driver accelerates DirectX 10 performance improves in Company of Heroes as much as 20% on the ATI Radeon HD 2000 and HD 3000 series of cards (up to 30% in Crossfire configurations).
The driver can be downloaded from AMD’s website.
Catalyst 8.3 is expected to include support for up to four GPUs.
