Verizon intros CDMA Blackberry Pearl

  • Verizon will beginning to sell Research in Motion’s Blackberry Pearl on November 3, marking the debut of the CDMA version of the smartphone. The phone will be offered for $300 (minus a $50 mail-in-rebate), which is the same price the device was offered when it was introduced by T-Mobile for GSM networks in September of last year. However, Verizon’s price represents a hefty premium of the GSM Pearl, which is currently selling for $200 (minus a $50 mail-in-rebate).

Verizon offers an “email and web” plan for $30 per month, in addition to regular coverage plans, which are available from $40 per month.
