London (England) - Finding its way into the budget phone manufacturer, global positioning system technology will be available for the first time on a Samsung device later this year.
Samsung specializes in low-cost phones, providing a significant amount of the handsets that are offered free-after-activation in the US.
The i550 will be the company's first venture into GPS, which allows users to track where they are and where they're going. Samsung did not announce a price for the i550, but it is expected to be one of the least expensive GPS devices.
The phone will make its debut in Europe next month and will later find its way to North America.
