As expected, Apple has selected Orange as the exclusive carrier of the iPhone in France and will begin selling the device there on November 29, the company said today. The phone will ship with all the recent upgrades made to the phone, which include Wi-Fi access to the iTunes store.
The phone will only be available in an 8 GB version which will sell for 399 Euro (about $567). As in the U.S. the phone will have to be activated via iTunes and an Internet connection.
The iPhone was launched on June 29 in the U.S. for $499 for the 4 GB model and $599 for the 8 GB version. Since then, Apple has discontinued the 4 GB model and reduced the price of the 8 GB version to $399.
