OpenSuse 10.3 released

  • Novell has released OpenSuse 10.3 as a free download today. The new version is based on the Linux Kernel 2.6.22 and comes with a variety of newly added and updated third-party software. Included are the virtualization applications Xen 3.1 and VirtualBox 1.5, the office suite OpenOffice 2.3, the latest version of the security package AppArmor as well as the desktops Gnome 2.20, KDE 3.5.7 and KDE 4.0 beta as a preview.

    OpenSuse 10.3 can be downloaded free of charge from opensuse.org and can be purchased as an installable DVD for $60. The paid version also includes a user manual as well as 90 days of installation support.
