British phone/GPS-using drivers face up to two years in jail
London (England) – While many states in the United States are debating whether to implement tougher driver phone law laws, the UK has taken a much tougher stance. The country has imposed harsh penalties, of up to two years in prison, for anyone who uses a phone or gps device while driving.
The new laws also affect anyone who tries to text message or fiddles with an MP3 player behind the wheel.
