Seoul (South Korea) - Samsung announced today that it has begun mass producing 1.8 inch solid state drives (SSDs) with 64 GB.
The South Korea-based semiconductor manufacturer believes SSD will become the largest growth segment in the NAND flash market.
Samsung, which already offers SSDs of up to 32 GB, claims it is the largest producer of high-capacity solide state drives.
Other companies have recently come on board the high density SSD train as well. Sandisk, for example, announced earlier this year that it would be producing a 64 GB SSD
