Samsung says it's the highest density SSD for mobile computing applications.  SSD drives use technology that helps to improve boot up times and conserve battery life.

The South Korea-based semiconductor manufacturer believes SSD will become the largest growth segment in the NAND flash market.

Samsung, which already offers SSDs of up to 32 GB, claims it is the largest producer of high-capacity solide state drives.

Other companies have recently come on board the high density SSD train as well.  Sandisk, for example, announced earlier this year that it would be producing a 64 GB SSD
