Sales of music players fall

  • Port Washington (NY) – A new study done by the NPD Group, a market research firm, shows that sales of digital music players have been falling.  Analysts say approximately 10 million players will be sold this quarter which will be down from 10.5 million estimated previously.

    The slowdown could be due to a variety of factors including the fact that many people already own a digital music player.  Some people are delaying their purchases in hopes of snagging the upcoming version of the iPod or even iPhone.
