Sprint launches GPS shopping application

  • New York (NY)  - Sprint Nextel Corp. said on Thursday it is offering new mobile software that uses GPS technology, allowing customers to search and check prices on products at their local retailers.

    Sprint and New York-based mobile marketing and technology company GPShopper jointly launched Slifter, which is now available for download at $1.99 per month. The satellite navigation technology also helps users get directions to the store, they said.
