Intel ready to release WiMax module orders, say sources

  • Intel reportedly has begun its evaluation process to select qualified makers to manufacture built-in WiMax modules for its next-generation mobile platform to be launched in 2008, according to sources at Taiwan-based network-equipment makers. Rumors stating that Intel is ready to release its orders for built-in WiMax modules have been circulating in the market since the beginning of the second quarter of this year, luring much attention from Taiwan makers, the sources indicated.
