Chicago (IL) - Nokia today received approval for its upcoming N93i cellphone, which will be an update for the existing N93 model. The N93i will have a slightly smaller body and revised button layout, which is reminiscent of Motorola's RAZR series. New features will include the integration of a mini USB port, while Nokia apparently will continue to make the phone available for WCDMA, EDGE and GSM networks.

The overall feature set will remain unchanged and integrate Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) connectivity and a 3.2 megapixel (2048x1536 pixel) digital camera with a 3x optical zoom, which can also record videos in a 640x480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.

The phone should be available in early 2007 for a price close to the currently sold N93 ($700 without contract).
