Tom Hardy set to be the next Al Capone

It’s been quiet around Josh Trank, after his rise to fame with the 2012 movie Chronicle, he kind of messed it up with the Fantastic Four. I personally did not think that the movie was a catastrophe but it is not the best marketing strategy when the director starts dissing his movie before the premiere.

His new movie, Fronzo, will be taking a different approach to the life of the notorious gangster Al Capone; namely his last years before his early death in 1947, at the age of 48.

Signing on Tom Hardy to play the role of the aging gangster is a good choice. After Peaky Blinders and Legend, he has enough experience playing gangsters and he has enough talent to add depth to the dying Capone’s character.

Josh Trank is also writing the script in addition to directing Fronzo. The movie is going in to production but no release dates yet.
