With Sleepy Hollow, Revolution, and Under the Dome, horror and sci-fi genre TV is really hot right now, and it’s great to see genre shows going strong on the small screen. Dome, the TV adaptation of the Stephen King novel, has been growing strong with the viewers and critics, and by the time you read this, there will be some big twists at the end of season one.
Genre TV has never been hotter. Not only is Game of Thrones a cultural phenomenon, but The Walking Dead is going like gangbusters, and Under the Dome, based on the Stephen King novel, is now officially a ratings hit. Like Game of Thrones, Under the Dome is also a ratings hit for viewers watching the CBS show later on DVR.

It also infuriates me that with so many cell phones, Blackberrys, and iPhones out there, you still can’t get your messages returned or get anyone to pick up the phone to save your life.
This is a great time for genre TV. Not only is Game of Thrones back for its third season, The Walking Dead also had a triumphant return, not to mention Bates Motel and Hannibal have also been getting good reviews as well.
We’ve already been seeing commercials for the upcoming Stephen King series Under the Dome, which will be airing on CBS, and this particular King adaptation has been coming together remarkably fast.
