Virgin Galactic has showcased its twin-fuselage WhiteKnightTwo aircraft
at the EAA AirVenture convention in Wisconsin. The
independently designed Knight is expected to transport Virgin's
SpaceShipTwo to 50,000 feet, where the latter craft will detach and
blast into space under its own power.
The space shuttle Endeavour successfully undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at 1:26 p.m. EDT. According to NASA, the station was reoriented for undocking, while open docking latches subsequently allowed Endeavour to drift free.

The space shuttle Endeavour has successfully docked with the ISS (International Space Station) Harmony node. According to NASA, Commander Mark Polansky docked Endeavour at 1:47 p.m. EDT while flying approximately 220 miles above the Gulf of Carpentaria, off the north coast of Australia.
NASA remains tight light about a possible damage to the space shuttle,
which may have been caused by falling debris during yesterday’s launch.
However, NASA said that the shuttle crew is inspecting the heat shield,
which should be completed by about 6:30 p.m. EDT.
