In comedy, there’s probably no reunion the fans want more desperately than Monty Python. True, many of the members have done terrific stuff on their own, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Eric Idle certainly come to mind, but it would certainly be nice to see them all come together one more time.
Like many fans of Terry Gilliam, I grew up with the hilarious madness of Monty Python on TV, as well as on the big screen. Gilliam launched his movie career directing Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and I’ve loved the best of his work, including Time Bandits (one of my absolute faves growing up), Brazil, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and more.
British humor isn’t for everyone, but growing up I was definitely a big fan of Monty Python, Benny Hill, and The Young Ones.
