Kiss have always called their fans The Kiss Army, and a true army of dedicated followers won the band their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This year, Kiss were eligible for induction, and they got it.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, in this writer’s humble opinion Kiss absolutely deserve to be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. You can’t compare them to Nirvana in a million years, it’s like comparing apples and oranges, but both groups, on completely opposite ends of the spectrum, have made major rock history, and deserve their place in the hall.
Although Kurt Cobain tragically took his own life nearly twenty years ago, you can still see Nirvana shirts and posters everywhere. We never expected the band to go forgotten, but considering the ultra short attention span people have with today’s pop culture, it’s nice to see that Nirvana’s music has lived on for another generation.
